Version 0.2.1 is out. One change, and it is about what the close button does.
Until now, closing the window quit Parshn. That is the normal thing for a window to do, and for this app it was the wrong thing. Parshn exists to interrupt you with words during the day. Close it and the reminders stopped, usually without you noticing until you wondered why you had not seen one in a while.
Now the window hides instead. Parshn keeps running in the system tray.
Getting back in
Click the tray icon and the window comes back the way you left it.
Right click it and you get a small menu with two items, Open and Quit. Quit is the real exit, and it is the only one now. Leaving is something you do on purpose.
The reminders keep coming
They arrive on the interval you set in Settings, drawn from the topics you left active. None of that changed in 0.2.1. What changed is that closing the window no longer switches it off behind your back.
Add your words. Pick an interval. Close the window and get on with your day.
Still a beta
0.2.1 is a beta, same as 0.2.0 before it. If a reminder shows up at a moment that makes no sense, or the tray icon does something strange on your machine, tell us. The full list of changes is on the changelog.
